Desert Frames is a curated short film competition for filmmakers in Arizona. A small group of selected teams get free access to the Fujifilm GFX Eterna 55, shoot within a defined production window, and premiere their films live in Phoenix.
We place every team under the same creative constraint — one camera, one time window, one goal.
The top 3 short films will be premiered at the Desert Frames Showcase on May 30, 2026.

Anyone in Arizona with a passion for filmmaking is welcome! Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned creator, we invite you to share your vision and be part of our community.
Films must be 5–12 minutes long and shot on the provided Fujifilm GFX Eternal 55 camera. Films must be shot in 4:3 to utilize the full sensor; any aspect ratio is accepted for final delivery. All genres are welcome—just make sure your work is original and follows our community standards.
A small entry fee and refundable deposit are required to secure your spot. This helps us keep things organized and ensures everyone is committed.
Once you register, we’ll send you a submission link and step-by-step instructions. Upload your film before the deadline and you’re good to go!
